The Office of Community Education and Outreach at Southern Arkansas University provides a variety of affordable non-credit courses that educate, entertain, and enrich the diverse interests and needs of the community. Classes are offered in the fall, spring, and throughout the summer each year. Fall and spring classes are designed to help individuals improve and enrich their personal and professional lives. Courses range in subject matter from computer basics and diverse topics such as photography, water exercise, floral design, and many other subjects.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

We will also be offering culinary courses at our new location at SAU: Beyond The Campus.<\/p>\n

Our summer classes have a well-established program of educational, creative, and athletic courses specifically designed for young people. We offer classes for all ages from kindergarten readiness to college prep. Class sections are available by age and skill level, so students will always feel comfortable and confident.<\/p>\n

How To Register<\/strong><\/h3>\n

  5. Payment may be made by cash, check, money order, or a major credit card.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Payment Policy<\/h3>\n

    The full class fee must accompany registration. Pro-rated fees are not accepted. Payment may be made by cash, check, or credit card. Your spot will not<\/em> be saved until the fee has been paid in full. If payment is not received, your registration is subject to cancellation in order to accommodate those on a waiting list.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

    <\/span>Refund Policy<\/div>
    A full refund will be given to students only if our office has cancelled a class due to lack of enrollment or any other necessary reasons or if students cancel (2) working days before the first class meeting. An 80 percent refund will be given only to those students who cancel before the second class. No refunds may be given after the second class meeting or if you fail to attend class.<\/div><\/div>\n
    <\/span>Parking<\/div>
    All vehicles parked on campus must have a validated parking permit. Parking permits can be purchased for $25 at the Business Office in Overstreet Hall.<\/div><\/div>\n
    <\/span>University Closings<\/div>
    When regular classes do not meet because of inclement weather, community education classes will not meet.<\/div><\/div>\n
