What started as a chance to gain real-world experience in business quickly turned into a semester of learning, growth, and professional development that will stay with me as I move forward in finance and business.<\/p><p><strong>How I Got Started<\/strong><\/p><p>Like many students, I wanted an internship that would not only give me work experience but also challenge me to develop professional skills beyond the classroom. Enterprise Mobility stood out because of its reputation for leadership development and the emphasis it places on empowering interns to take on real responsibility. The application and interview process pushed me to step outside my comfort zone, and once I got in, I was determined to make the most of every opportunity.<\/p><p><strong>What I Learned<\/strong><\/p><p>From the very first week, I was immersed in the fast-paced operations of the business. I quickly learned that success required adaptability, strong communication, and a willingness to step up to challenges. Some of the most valuable lessons I gained include:<\/p><ul><li>Customer Service and Communication:\u00a0Working directly with customers taught me how to listen actively, respond with professionalism, and create positive experiences even when resolving issues.<\/li><li>Sales and Business Development:\u00a0I gained hands-on experience selling optional protection products\u00a0to customers, highlighting their value while supporting the company\u2019s sales goals. This gave me a stronger understanding of how business growth depends on aligning customer needs with smart solutions.<\/li><li>Teamwork and Leadership:\u00a0Enterprise\u2019s collaborative culture showed me the power of working as part of a supportive team. I was encouraged to share ideas and adapt my leadership style to fit different situations.<\/li><li>Time Management and Problem Solving:\u00a0Long, busy days tested my ability to stay organized and make decisions under pressure. Over time, I became more resourceful and confident in handling complex tasks.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>My Achievements<\/strong><\/p><p>As I grew into the role, I was able to turn these lessons into results that I\u2019m especially proud of:<\/p><ul><li>#1 intern in my region,\u00a0recognized for performance, professionalism, and contributions to the team.<\/li><li>$1,000 scholarship\u00a0for outstanding achievement during the program.<\/li><li>2nd place for best intern presentation\u00a0across the entire area. My presentation proposed a strategic change Enterprise could implement to stay ahead in a rapidly changing business world,\u00a0allowing me to apply critical thinking, innovation, and long-term vision to real business challenges.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Beyond the Office<\/strong><\/p><p>Enterprise also made the internship experience valuable and memorable outside of day-to-day operations. I attended\u00a0training in Oklahoma City,<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>where I deepened my knowledge and connected with other interns.<\/p><p>On National Intern Day, we volunteered at a local food bank. This was an experience that highlighted the company\u2019s commitment to giving back. Enterprise treated us to an OKC Comets baseball game in a private suite<strong>. <\/strong>These moments weren\u2019t just fun; they gave me a chance to build relationships with peers and network with top executives who offered advice and insight into their careers.<\/p><p>My branch in Shreveport, Louisiana, made the internship experience even more memorable by planning fun team outings. We spent a day at the lake in Tyler, Texas, where we went tubing and swimming, enjoyed a night of bowling at Surge Entertainment, and later celebrated my return to college with a trip to Top Golf.<\/p><p>These experiences, combined with my performance, helped me build strong connections within the company. I\u2019m grateful to already have a\u00a0job lined up with Enterprise after college,<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>turning this internship into the first real step toward my career.<\/p><p><strong>Challenges and Growth<\/strong><\/p><p>Of course, the experience wasn\u2019t without challenges. The transition from student life to working many ten-hour days was a big adjustment. At first, I found myself in situations where I didn\u2019t immediately know the answer. But I quickly learned that asking questions is not a weakness; it\u2019s a strength. By leaning on my mentors, adapting quickly, and persevering through challenges, I developed resilience and confidence that will carry me forward in any career path.<\/p><p><strong>Looking Ahead<\/strong><\/p><p>This internship solidified my passion for pursuing a career in business and finance. More than that, it gave me a deeper appreciation for how customer relationships, sales, and leadership drive long-term success. Enterprise Mobility showed me what it takes to run a business with excellence, and I\u2019m excited to carry these lessons into my future opportunities.<\/p><p>Internships are more than just r\u00e9sum\u00e9 builders. They are opportunities to explore, grow, and discover what you\u2019re truly capable of. She serves as the President of Future Business Leaders of America, Vice President of the Powerlifting Team, a part of Business Student Advisory Council, and Vice President of Finance for Alpha Sigma Alpha. In addition to being an active member of Enactus and Volunteer Income Tax Assistance, she works as a Peer Academic Coach, and an employee at Walmart\u2014all while maintaining an impressive 4.0 GPA.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This past summer, I had the opportunity to complete an internship with Enterprise Mobility, an experience that has been one of the most impactful steps in my college and career journey so far.
