Please tell us about your future plans once you graduate from Southern Arkansas University. <\/strong><\/p>

I plan on staying at SAU to get my MBA, taking real estate classes and the state exam. I want to stay in Arkansas for a few years and get a job here for a while and also continue learning new hobbies; after that I want to move and start my career.<\/span> With God on my side, I will take life day by day and just enjoy the things that come with it.<\/span><\/p>

How are your experiences in the Rankin College of Business preparing you for your professional career?<\/strong><\/p>

My experiences in the Rankin College of Business have been great<\/span>,<\/span> and I am thankful for everything that I have received and learned from them. The RCB prepares you by providing helpful courses, lots of <\/span>clubs and organizations that you can join or be a part of, travel opportunities, and introduc<\/span>ing<\/span> you to many internships. T<\/span>hey<\/span> also<\/span> have loving and carin<\/span>g staff members and professors!<\/span><\/p>

What specific courses have been your favorite, and why?<\/strong><\/p>

Before I mention my favorite courses, I must admit that I haven\u2019t really had a bad course from the RCB. I have also been blessed to have the professors that I had so far. One of my favorite cour<\/span>ses has been the Stats course<\/span> with Ms. Givens<\/span>. S<\/span>he makes the class fun, uses relevant and relatable examples, and she can answer and explain any question asked easily. The courses of my specific major (marketing) have also been fun and interesting<\/span>;<\/span> I get to learn more about that and sometimes do hands on things (like creating questionnaires and running tests). <\/span><\/p>

Do you have any favorite memories with Rankin College of Business faculty or fellow students?<\/strong><\/p>

Although I have lots of memories with RCB faculty and students, I have to <\/span>say that the Rankin Rankin<\/span>g<\/span>s competition was my favorite memory.<\/span> <\/span>The Rankin Rankin<\/span>g<\/span>s was a fun competition between the two departments (Finance\/Accounting<\/span>\/Economics<\/span> vs. Management<\/span>\/<\/span>Marketing<\/span>\/Information Systems<\/span>). We played a few different games and incorporated trivia based on things related to the RCB. It was fun and I enjoy competition. The finance and accounting department won. Dr. Wise was supposed to get pied<\/span>,<\/span> but Dr. Warrick took one for the team and his daughter got to pie him. Overall, my department lost but I really <\/span>enjoyed the event and I hope that we do it again!\u00a0<\/p><\/div><\/div>

What advice would you offer to a new student beginning their course of study at the Rankin College of Business? <\/strong><\/p>

If you aren\u2019t sure what specific RCB course major you want to be in, start in general business, <\/span>so <\/span>you can experience a little bit of all business majors. <\/span>Actually<\/span> attend class and get to know your professors, stop by their office or even email them if you need help<\/span>,<\/span> and don\u2019t be afraid to ask them questions because they are here to help you. Don\u2019t be afraid to join clubs\/organizations that are offered<\/span>;<\/span> it\u2019ll be a great way to make connections with fellow students. Most importantly, try not to stress, just take your time, study, make friends with your classmates, ask questions when needed, and enjoy the time that you have in the RCB and at SAU<\/span> (make it feel like home!). <\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
