Please tell us about your future plans once you graduate from Southern Arkansas University. <\/strong><\/p>

My future plans are to continue my education to achieve my master\u2019s in business intelligence. I want to further my education to increase my chances on the job market to obtain the maximum amount of recognition for my accomplishments.<\/p>

How are your experiences in the Rankin College of Business preparing you for your professional career?<\/strong><\/p>

My experience in the Rankin College of Business has been great. From working on my communication skills and networking to diversifying my knowledge in more than one field of business. I feel as if it has helped me understand how important other departments are in the business field to where I am able to get a clear understanding on what each department does.<\/p>

What specific courses have been your favorite, and why?<\/strong><\/p>

The specific courses that have been my favorites were Principles of Accounting II, Business Analytics, Database Management, Macroeconomics and Microeconomics. Principles of Accounting II taught me how to think outside the box, and it was my first experience in dealing with complex numbers and organizing information to make work easier. Business Analytics turned information and data into art for me; I was able to decipher and manipulate data to what I wanted it to look like. Database Management helped me design the data into tables and break down all the needs and what it will not allow. Macroeconomics and Microeconomics helped me understand the importance of supply and demand and how other variables of the economy affect business and trends to run a successful business.<\/p>

What advice would you offer to a new student beginning their course of study at the Rankin College of Business? <\/strong><\/p>

My advice would be life is like a salad bar, you have to help yourself. So make sure you make the best out of your time here because it goes fast.
