I wanted to create a world for people to explore, so I did. Locations for wide-eyed adventurers to traverse, treasure to clutch by the handful, and most importantly, the understanding of the inspiration behind it all. This is what my ultimate goal was for Advanced Art Studio. I wanted to not only challenge myself but to use my style to illustrate fragments of a world that I desire to be real. The only thing I\u2019d settle for, since reality was impossible for this fantasy realm, was to forge it into a tabletop game for three perfect players.<\/span><\/p>

…and forge I did.<\/span><\/p>


A landscape and illustrations of the treasures that befall the lands of Kastara (the birth name of this fantasy project) was the result of this class. Illustrations I never thought I could compose. Some nights I\u2019d stay up thinking about the composition of the project, getting little ideas here and there during a snack or even a dream. I only hope that the art takes someone to those dreams of untold riches and joy, perhaps even dark mystery and intrigue. This class was only the beginning, however. I can only expand on this project, making more artifacts and landscapes of my world, and giving my viewers a little taste at a time. It will be like puzzle pieces that fit inside a grand picture that will one day be whole.<\/span><\/p>

The primary takeaway from the Kastara Project is that it will put a spark in my resume, something that officially showcases my imagination at its finest.
