First-time Freshman Admission<\/h4>\n

To enroll as an undergraduate student at Southern Arkansas University,\u00a0an entering freshman must submit the following:<\/p>\n

  1. Application for admission<\/li>\n
  2. ACT\/SAT scores<\/li>\n
  3. High school transcript (showing graduation date) or GED passing scores<\/li>\n
  4. Immunization record<\/li>\n
  5. Other information as requested by the Office of Admissions<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/i> Submit Documents<\/span><\/a>\n

     <\/p>\n

    An application for a residence hall room, along with a deposit, must also\u00a0be submitted if you wish to live in a campus residence hall.<\/p>\n

    Unconditional Admission for Beginning Students<\/h4>\n

    Beginning students who have ACT scores of 19 or higher on the\u00a0English, mathematics, and reading parts of the ACT examination,\u00a0completed the core curriculum, and graduated from high school\u00a0will be admitted unconditionally to Southern Arkansas University.<\/p>\n

    Conditional Admission for Beginning Students<\/h4>\n

    Beginning students who do not qualify for unconditional admission\u00a0but who have received a composite ACT score of 16 or higher or are\u00a0ranked in the top quarter of their graduating class will be conditionally\u00a0admitted to SAU. Students admitted with conditions must successfully\u00a0complete all transitional courses in a regular and consistent manner\u00a0and complete 12 hours of core academic courses with a 2.0 grade\u00a0point average within the first 30 semester hours of college-level credit.<\/p>\n

    GED, Home School, and Charter School Graduates<\/h4>\n

    These students are admitted by virtue of their ACT scores.<\/p>\n

    Non-Traditional Students<\/h4>\n

    Students who are 25 years of age or older and have graduated high\u00a0school are admitted regardless of their ACT scores, but they must submit\u00a0ACT scores to determine whether they must take transitional courses.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
