Students in this major will benefit from dynamic learning experiences that take place both in and out of the classroom.<\/p>\n<p>The Sport Management degree program is offered as an online program. While students have the option to take many classes in the traditional, face-to-face class format, all upper-level courses will be offered fully online providing students with the flexibility needed in today\u2019s busy world.<\/p>\n<h3>Careers<\/h3>\n<p>Graduates who complete this program frequently seek careers as recreational, interscholastic, or college coaches and as athletic administrators including positions as athletic directors, senior woman\u2019s administrators, athletic academic services personnel, athletic eligibility services personnel, or a variety of other positions in this ever-expanding field.<\/p>\n<p>To obtain a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Sport Management, students must earn a minimum grade point average of 2.00 in the major, complete the required sport management courses listed below, and complete the required courses for one emphasis area focused on the student\u2019s personnel career objectives.<\/p>\n<div id=\"learning-goals\" class=\"alert alert-info\">\n<h3>Learning Goals<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Our graduates can effectively communicate with a variety of sport stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>Our graduates understand how to be socially responsible sport leaders.<\/li>\n<li>Our graduates can think critically, solve problems and make informed decisions.<\/li>\n<li>Our graduates utilize information technology to enhance learning and to enhance personal and professional productivity.<\/li>\n<li>Our graduates understand HPSS content and disciplinary concepts related to the development of sport management skills and leadership.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Sport Management degree program provides individuals interested in a career in the sport\/athletics fields the opportunity to pursue a well-rounded degree in a growing career field.
