Applicants should work closely with a College of Education and Human Performance advisor to apply.\r\n
Criteria for Admission to the Educator Preparation Program (EPP)<\/h4>\r\nPre-candidates apply for unconditional admission to the EPP program during their final semester of their senior year. Professional Responsibilities and Requirements for Arkansas Teacher Licensure<\/h4>\r\nCandidates in the Elementary Education Certificate program are held to the same licensure requirements as those listed under the MAT degree program. Please see the information above for more details.\r\n
Specific Requirements for Elementary Education Certificate<\/h4>\r\nEach candidate for the Graduate Certificate in Elementary Education must complete 12 semester hours of coursework.\r\n
Initial Course (3 hours)<\/h4>\r\n(Required to be taken during first term of program)<\/strong>\r\n\r\nMAT 5103 - Holistic Pedagogy\r\n
\r\nSupervised Experience (6 hours)<\/h4>\r\nSelect 6 hours from the following:<\/span>\r\n\r\nMAT 6033 - Internship I (first year of teaching) and\r\nMAT 6043 - Internship II (first year of teaching)\r\nor\r\n\r\nMAT 6053 - Residency I and<\/strong>\r\nMAT 6063 - Residency II\r\n
\r\nEducation Elective (3 hours)<\/h4>\r\nSelect a 3-hour education elective course from another advanced program (see advisor for more information).\r\n
