Students who are preparing for pharmacy school (or other health-related professional programs) should select a four-year degree option such as Pre-Health Professional Biochemistry in consultation with their academic advisor and maintain that degree plan until completion of professional school course requirements.\r\n\r\nUpon request, SAU will confer the baccalaureate (BS) degree with a major in Chemistry: 3+2 Professional Program on students who successfully fulfill the following requirements:\r\n\r\nComplete 88 hours of coursework at SAU prior to clinical\/professional training, including at least 12 hours of upper-level courses.\r\nComplete 32 hours (four semesters) of coursework in an approved accredited school of chiropractic, dentistry, medicine, optometry, pharmaceutical, or veterinary science.\r\nSatisfy all other University requirements for graduation.\r\n\r\nOfficial transcript from clinical\/professional program must be on file with the SAU Registrar\u2019s Office
