Students will work toward a creative examination of both real and imagined worlds. Students\u2019 thoughts and observations are expressed through challenges that emphasize a broad scope of two-dimensional and three-dimensional techniques, media, and concepts.<\/p>\n

Learning Goals<\/h3>\n

  1. Students will be able to communicate orally, visually and in written form to support a visual art or design decision.<\/li>\n
  2. Students will understand art in terms of its civic and ethical impact.<\/li>\n
  3. Students critically analyze\u00a0visual design problems, synthesize information and create pieces with\u00a0corresponding\u00a0written or oral language to support their outcomes.\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n
  4. Students employ\u00a0traditional art techniques and technological knowledge necessary to work in the\u00a0art and design community.<\/li>\n
