To complete the pathway, the candidate must earn at least a grade point average of 3.00 on all University credits (120 hours), complete the required curriculum (major courses with a C or higher), be admitted to the Educator Preparation Program unconditionally, complete the Content Knowledge Praxis II in the area of licensure and the required pedagogy assessment. Candidates must be admitted to the Educator Preparation Provider (see the College of Education and Human Performance section of the catalog for more information) and meet all CEHP requirements.<\/p>\n<div id=\"learning-goals\" class=\"alert alert-info\">\n<h3>Learning Goals<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Our graduates demonstrate an understanding of the common elements and organizational patterns of music and possess the ability to employ them in aural, verbal, written and visual analysis.<\/li>\n<li>Our graduates demonstrate basic knowledge of music history, diverse performing traditions and repertoires through the present time.<\/li>\n<li>Our graduates demonstrate the ability to synthesize theoretical concepts and historical perspectives in arranging and adapting musical scores, and in rudimentary composing and improvising.<\/li>\n<li>Our graduates use computer and internet applications to assist in learning theoretical concepts as well as arranging and performing skills.<\/li>\n<li>Our graduates possess knowledge and skills in music.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SAU EPP programs are licensure pathways for future teachers that are grounded in the knowledge, skills, and dispositions for teachers in 21st-century schools as their roles change to fit the needs of students and society.
