Dedicated Faculty
At SAU you will receive a quality education in physics and the other natural sciences. Faculty in our department have received numerous distinguished teaching, research and service awards from the University. In addition to teaching, the department faculty provide special help review sessions, conduct field trips, and provide individual help. The faculty is active in the local community, supporting various charities and organizations, such as The Angel Tree, Magnolia Arts, 4H and Boy and Girl Scouts of America.
Learning for Life
Students will learn invaluable laboratory skills as they use specialized equipment starting at the introductory level. The department also has a partnership with the SAU Natural Resources Research Center that serves as a water and soil chemical analysis center for the region. This center offers upper level students opportunities to use even more high-end equipment.
The Chemistry & Physics Department at Southern Arkansas University provides its students with the right education, tools and support for a successful future.
