MAGNOLIA – Mulerider fans across southwest Arkansas will once again be able to listen to football broadcasts on the radio in 2011 as the Mulerider Sports Network returns for its second season. Games will be broadcast on six radio stations.
“The Mulerider Sports Network will provide an excellent opportunity to promote Southern Arkansas University and our NCAA Division II athletic programs across southwest Arkansas,” said SAU President Dr. David Rankin. “We have many alumni and friends throughout the coverage area, and this gives us an additional avenue to connect with them while we continue to grow our fan base.”
The flagship station of the Mulerider Sports Network is KVMZ-FM (99.1) in Magnolia which has been associated with Mulerider athletic broadcasts for more than 40 years. Dan Gregory will return for his 30th season as voice of the Muleriders. Other stations in the network include KAGL-FM (93.3) in El Dorado, KLEZ-FM (93.5) in Hot Springs, KLIX-FM (104.1) in Mena, KTFS-AM (940) in Texarkana, and KMTB-FM (99.5) in Nashville. Game broadcasts can also be heard through an online stream at www.magnoliaradio.com.
Each broadcast will include a pre-game show, the full game broadcast and a post-game show. To view a complete game schedule, visit www.muleriderathletics.com

I am so glad to be able to hear Mulerider football on the radio. It is entertaining and the commentary makes you feel like you’re there (almost). I do have one suggestion that for me at least would make the experience much better. Please focus on the Mulerider players a bit more. Give us more information in the play-by-play on who did what. I know several of the players, one being my son and after the game when I get to talk to them and ask how it was I find out that these guys made some tackles and other things that I didn’t hear a word about on the radio and I listen to the whole game, so please include more on on what our players get done out there. After all it is Mulerider fans that are listening. Thanks again for makeing it possible for us to hear about our Muleriders.
