Job Fairs

SAU hosts an annual health professions career day, career day, and a teacher fair.  Students of all classifications and alumni are encouraged to attend and bring copies of resumes to distribute.

Employer Interviews and Informational Meetings

On-campus interviews and informational meetings are scheduled throughout the year at the request of employers.  Students and alumni should contact the Employment Resource Center for information on the qualifications required to participate.

Resume and Cover Letter Critiques

Currently enrolled students and alumni of Southern Arkansas University may request critiques of resumes and cover letters by scheduling an office visit in Reynolds Center, room 217, or by sending the documents in Microsoft Word format via email to wlwilliams@saumag.edu. Credential File Service

The Employment Resource Center will maintain a credential file for current students and alumni that can be released to prospective employers and graduate schools upon request. There is no charge for faxing or mailing the credential file. Forms commonly included in the file are reference forms, letters of recommendation, a resume, a transcript, and a credentials waiver form. Credential files are maintained in the ERC for 10 years. Forms to establish the file are available by contacting the ERC.
